As an Airport Security Officer: P/T Tuesday/Sunday in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

 

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue02:30 PM - 11:00 PMSun02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned airport property.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations, reporting observations through established communication and documentation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity while providing clear directions and assistance to the public in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
