The company offers comprehensive metal fabrication services, including prototype design, laser cutting, stamping, pemming, metal forming, machining, assembly, and painting. By managing the full production process, Accurate Fabrication helps customers bring complex designs to fruition efficiently and reliably. Team members gain exposure to a broad range of fabrication methods, projects, and industries, working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Role Description This on-site Sales Engineer internship role is based in Hartford, WI. The intern will support the sales and engineering teams by assisting in the translation of customer requirements into practical fabrication solutions, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and production capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing quotes, supporting technical discussions with customers, coordinating with production to ensure feasibility and timelines, and documenting customer interactions and project details. The intern will help respond to customer inquiries, provide basic technical support, and contribute to proposals and presentations that highlight Accurate Fabrication’s services. This is a learning-focused internship, offering mentorship and exposure to both sales processes and manufacturing operations.
Qualifications

Ability to apply Sales Engineering principles to connect customer needs with technical fabrication solutions.
Foundational understanding of Technical Support practices to assist with customer questions about capabilities and processes.
Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with customers and internal teams.
Interest in developing Sales skills such as lead follow-up, quoting, and basic negotiation.
Customer Service mindset, with the ability to build rapport and respond professionally to inquiries and issues.
Enrollment in or completion of a technical, engineering, or manufacturing-related program preferred.
Basic familiarity with manufacturing, metal fabrication, or mechanical drawings is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Hartford, WI, collaborate in a shop environment, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, document creation) and willingness to learn company systems.
