Description:

School-Based Occupational Therapist - Middle School Setting Shift Details

Scheduled hours: 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM

Student Population

Approximately 40 students served, grades 6th through 8th
Students are served across two program types:
- General Education - Co-taught setting
- Self-Contained - Strategy Education and SNAP
17 students are in self-contained classrooms
8 students are due for their 3-year re-evaluation

Caseload Details

IEP Caseload: 40 students
504 Caseload: 25 (Consult)
Students outside of self-contained programs are seen approximately 20-30 minutes per week
Students in the self-contained program are seen approximately 30-60 minutes per week
An additional 10 students receive 5 minutes per week of consultation to staff
Some students also receive consultation through their 504 plan with no direct minutes

Additional Staffing

Another OT is scheduled in the building on a part-time basis

Off-Campus Placement

1 off-campus placement student
Service frequency: 180 minutes per month
Off-campus location: Machesney Park, IL
